I'm not sure if you're being serious on the begging for critiques thing. Are you? Are you HONESTLY prepared for someone to take a page in word and rant about one of your pictures?

Actually, that is my beef with critiquing. I critique. A lot. I mean, I leave a few short comments here and there too, but I won't leave long critiques on people who don't look like they'll receive it or even read it... anyone with a lot of pageviews, whatever.

Anyway, if you honestly want long rambly ranty criticalish comments of doom, well, I'm too tired to comment right now but I definately love giving them. I just can never tell who really wants it. I usually get positive responses or people who just ignore them, so eh.

ON THAT NOTE!

I think this stamp could've been improved if 'CRITIQUE ME' was the same font, rather than having the tiny 'me'. This way 'CRITIQUE' and 'BEGGING' are the emphasised words and it's visually distracting. Since those are the words that jump out of the stamp at you, it makes less sense and it's kinda squinty and annoying to have to look closer for the 'me, please'. "I'm BEGGING you' looks pretty good though, and the color choices and font choices look good together, that's just my only beef.

Got anything in specific you wanted critiqued, or just a 'go through my gallery and leave a comment better than "omg your art so cool TEACH ME TO BE LIKE YOUUUU"' type thing? (And you'd take me seriously for not being an amazing artist daring to critique?)

I wish I was more awake right now but I really can't go through a gallery to critique, even though believe me! I would love to. I enjoy doing that. I'll try remember to come back, but for now I'll leave the comment. I've been a critic for ages, even if it's two months, a week, a year later that you see this, I'm always open for leaving comments with meat on them. That goes for anyone who reads this. I'm never gonna be famous, but if you really want a critique, by all means, reply and let me know. I might not be able to give a good rundown on what you can improve but I will at least go through and list what attracted me to the piece rather than 'ooh, shiny'.

If people didn't critique you, your art would continue to be the same. You need motivation, critiques aren't meant to hurt you or your feelings. So stop spreading butthurt on the internet. Accept the critique, grow up and move on. Critiques are meant to criticize your artwork not you. If you are entering an art job you need the opinions of people! Like my graphic art teacher says "The most important person that likes your artwork is the customer." Its true, you need the art consumers opinion, what is beautiful to others besides yourself is what is true art. You need to understand that art was meant to not only make yourself happy with it, but others too. Making your artwork only good enough for yourself is selfish. Share your artistic talent with the world. Also consider this, no art is completely "good enough". We are human, we have limitations. As such we need to understand that no matter how flawless the artwork looks, there is always room for improvement. Always, let your imagination and your talent grow. By keeping away from critiques you don't get your talent nurtured.

Well, I've never made a stamp before so I probably shouldn't be telling you how you could improve. Aside from that, I honestly can't think of a thing I'ld like to change on this stamp. And believe me, I tried. Smart thinking making the stamp orange. It's a bright color so it's attention grabbing yet it's not too bright like most shades of yellow are. I like that you used white for 'CRITQUE' and 'BEGGING.' It's pleasing to the eye and it makes it stand out further from the yellow text.

Seeing as you don't often check messages for this acount, I only bothered to critigue this stamp because you begged me to. I agree with you on all bases in your Artist's comments. Actually, I 'd probably be happy with a comment that simply said, "This is cool," as I very rarely get commments. I'm not complaining mind you, I'm just saying.
