I like! Because OCs need support, not nit picking about how someone else thinks they should be.
Actually its like real life. Nobody can tell you who you are or who you should be, but you! And since OCs are essentially a part of you, then that goes into the area of counting for the same rule.

Uh, I had someone do this to me just recently. Funny thing is , I was the one who drew the other person's OC as part of a free sketch thing. (They only had a sketchy face ref to begin with.) Seriously! I hate that crawly feeling.

Hahah, the closest I\'ve come to having someone say this to me is they were saying my fursona looked \"exactly\" like their character, and that I must have stolen it. I didn\'t doubt it might have looked like their character, since my fursona is rather simple in design and even a four year old could probably make something pretty similar to it in design, but when I actually looked at their character, it looked completely and entirely different. About the -only- similarity was the fact that they happened to use blue for a main body color, and their character\'s under belly was blue >_>;;; But that thing was swirly and rainbowy and fluffy... AND it had wings. And was somehow supposed to be an eevee o_o So after I laughed at them for a good ten minutes, I replied to their post asking them to look before they accuse next time and gave them a link to my fursona\'s ref sheet so they could see just how far off the designs were >_>;;

I totally agree with this stamp. I get sooo sick of hearing people say but your OC in your Stargate Atlantis fanfiction is just like mine or I've used that type of OC before you should credit me... Sigh...
